Rose's cry

You know how there are pictures you just take... and others you spend time and energy on creating? This one falls into the second category, and I will share with you the 'making of' of this picture.

Step 1: mix honey and black ink in a small recipient
Step 2: hang a few strings so that you will be able to place the rose head down at the right angle (because you want the pouring substance to be seen, but not while it's falling on your lens).
Step 3: place the camera on the tripod and start testing the position that the rose will have during the shoot (while adjusting the lengths of the strings used to hang the rose)
Step 4: place lots of newspapers/protecting foil/whatever on the floor
Step 5: put scotch tape around the bottom of the flower in order to avoid leaks while the substance is in the rose.
Step 6: fill the rose with the substance using a syringe to keep the outside petals clean.
Step 7: adjust the rose in the strings and quickly turn it upside down
Step 8: TAKE PICTURES! Quickly, before the substance is gone.
